well folks, she's on a roll, churning out dozens of potholders a day (or so it must appear.) you would think i've made so many of these guys that it's become somewhat mindless...but trust me, the situation is oh-so to the contrary because project familiarity, in fact, leaves a lot of mental energy to being exceedingly choosy about the fabric combos. also, i happen to be working with the creme de la creme of remnants (again, bequeathed to me by my friend ursula, who inherited marimekko fever from her mother and grandmother, before passing it on to innocent folks as myself), which is just to say: well, i sure as hell better not mess up with this stuff, even IF i am dealing with a veteran craftsperson's 4-inch scraps.
so here are two 'families,' made and composed especially for my friends natalie (left) and fauzia (right), to complement their respective kitchens in two of the cutest apartments in the WORLD.
